Isabella Ashley Cadena 2002-2010

Our great friends, Ed and Emma, lost their sweet baby girl Thursday morning. Isabella was Jake's age and she was in his first grade class. Emma was Jake's teacher and now she is Riggs's teacher and was definitely one of their favorites. Jay and I have recently become really close with them. Emma has a great love for children and treats them like her own. Isabella was her only child. She tried to have her for 10 years and only got to keep her for seven.

This is probably the worst thing that our children, our school has ever had to endure. We all want to help Emma and just don't know how. Things will never be the same for her and it is so sad to see her empty chair at school. I already miss her voice, her polly pockets, her hot pink boots, her mother calling her "Bells." My kids are going to miss playing with her after school. My kids usually end up in Emma's room after school because she has the best toys; she lets them make big, huge messes with paint and paper and toys!...The thing I think I miss most of all is how Isabella made her mother laugh. Emma has a great laugh and I just don't know if I will hear it again. These last days have been so hard for them and the pain I see in her face is unbearable. All Jay and I can do is hug them and cry.

Please pray for our friends, Emma and Ed Cadena

This is Isabella at the play right before Christmas. (Jake is beside her but you can't see his face)

Oh my goodness, what happened? Was she sick? This is so tragic and sad. I will pray for the family. I just cannot imagine the pain of losing a child.
