The Best Day

We decided to camping last night..
They always have the best time!
I think camping is their favorite.
Jake always says, "This is the best day of my life!"
 and it always reminds me of this song........

We loaded up my old station wagon
With a tent, coleman, sleeping bags
Some fishin' poles, a cooler of cokes,
3 days before we had to back

When your 7 and your in your 7th heaven
Going campin' in the wild outdoors
As we turned off on that old dirt road he look at me
and swore

Dad, this could be the best day of my life
Been dreamin' day and night about the fun we'll have

This year we decided to make it easy and have a birthday party together. It was perfect weather and a very fun afternoon! The kids had a blast!

Jake's Kindergarten Graduation

My oldest graduated from kindergarten today. The grandparents came to see this momentous occasion and I'll have to say that it was the sweetest ceremony I have ever seen! I have to admit I was a little teary-eyed at times. They all game in to pomp and circumstance, of course, and then said "The Lord's Prayer" and pledge. It was so cute! Then after they sang songs, they came to the microphone to say what they wanted to be (see video 2 below). Jake said he wanted to be a fireman;others said they wanted to be wrestlers, rock stars, and princesses, so I will settle for fireman compared to those!HA! I was very proud of our school and the great job they did, and it made me realize what a blessing it is to be a part of such a great Christian school.
