Yes, this is as close as flying in a jet as we will ever get! I was a little nervous to let my babies go up in a private plane ( I kept thinking JFK Jr!!!), but I got over it when I saw that they were in expert hands. What an exciting time the children had on their flight to Gallatin with our friend/pilot Mr. Dave. The kids had permagrins, as Jay called it, the whole time they were up in the air. They thought the headseats were extra cool. They decided they wanted to take flying lessons....sure, for only 10, 000 dollars , when they are of age,the pilot's license could be theirs! Let's think college first!
Tonight's Opry experience ended up being a great one yet a little frustrating. There were several times I was very mad because Martina kept running off. One time she told me she'd be right back. She promised! Jay thought it was funny to take pictures of me mad in the hall (see below). I did happen to catch up with her and got my beloved pic. She was so sweet and little bitty too!
I was also mad because my camera was on some funky setting and my onstage pictures were awful. oh well, it was still superfun! oh, one last thing, make sure you push play at the end of the post, because we got to stay in Ricky Skagg's dressing room for a special pickin' session..you may have to pause the playlist. ENJOY!
