what we do for kicks

I was almost too embarrassed to post, but I thought Mom and Dad would get a kick out of it. Jake has had the flu and we had to be really inventive to get him out of the "blues." Riggs thought it was so funny;he died laughing every time. Any "toot" sound will do that to him!

Spring Singing and "Bugs"

Riggs's spring production of "Bugs" was awesome and he really enjoyed it. He was a firefly and army ant. There's a couple of videos below if you want to listen. One of his friends is singing very loud, and off tune, I might add. I laughed so hard because he never missed a word, yet it was hard on the ears.


Jake ended up getting the solo for the "God Bless the USA" American Trilogy program. I will have to say that he kind of froze up and didn't sing like he does at home. Oh well, I guess he will learn how to get over stage fright if wants to be a Jonas Brother HA!. I just hated it because he is a natural with vibrato and tone and he shied away a little when he got in front of the crowd. Hopefully, he will take voice in the summer and that will help.

Overall, I was proud of them..just have fun I always say.

Valentine '10

The kids got snuggies for Valentines; they had been wanting them , so I thought it an appropriate time to get them one. I forgot my camera for their school parties...such a bummer.
It snowed again this weekend, so they had a fun Valentine's Day weekend.

All I had was a mini-ruler..so it was only 6 in. long.....the snow is almost up to the top!

this is where everyone ended up sledding. It didn't take long for people to figure out that this was the best spot! At one time I counted about 35 people out there.....
