Monkey Bar Monday
On Monday afternoon Riggsy was climbing on the monkey bars of our swing set and plummeted face first 8 feet to the ground. I think it hurt his tummy the worst but somehow he cut his forehead. Although it was very small, it was very deep. It bled and bled and I could tell it might need a butterfly bandage. I showed the pharmacist at Walgreens and his "He'll be proud of that scar when he's older" reply was not what I was looking for... I ended up with butterfly bandages and liquid bandage. After I got home, I discovered that the liquid bandaid had been opened. I had visions of someone using it in the store ( because it is expensive) and putting it back and that made me a little sicky. So we just stuck with neosporin and the bandages. Oh and now the most painful part is pulling the hair out of the dried gooey cut. I decide to pin it back the only way I know how! His forehead is a little large now that I look at it. Thank goodness for bangs!

Fall Break Beach Trip
We went to Grayton Beach/ Seaside for Fall Break. It was absolutely gorgeous and it was unexpectedly hot for mid October. I planned for cool nights and it may have gotten down to 90 degrees after dark. The kids were so easy; they played on the beach for early morning until dark and cried when we had to go home. I must have gone through three bottles of sunscreen. However, they got brown as biscuits..No burning though! There was a neat lake that butted up to the ocean. You can see it in a couple of pictures. The kids loved it ! At first I was a little nervous about crocs, but they said it was not that kind of lake. I kept an eye out though! Although we had a lot of fun, we sure missed Disney this year. We plan to go there next October.

Fall Ball
Riggs stuck with soccer. Unlike Jake, he enjoys running around in circles. This was the first time they played different sports. We are definitely used to them on the same team. I think they are both going to play baseball in the spring..Hopefully Riggs can play up! I see lots of batting cage visits in our future.
