Riggsy is 6!

We didn't do parties this year. Riggs invited a friend over and we went to "cook in front of you" Japanese restaurant. Needless to say, his friend started to feel bad and started vomiting as soon as we walked into the restaurant. We had to take him home and he ended up having a stomach bug. We went back to the restaurant and had a great evening. Here are top 10 things about Riggs for the year 2009-2010

1. He still like anything to do with the yard (mowing, blowing, weedeating, weeding,.etc.).
2. He dresses like he is going to "work" like Daddy everyday unless I protest...khakis, button-up, belt the whole nine yards.
3. Adding to #2, he is very particular about what he wears and it is a constant battle between us.
4. Still doesn't like TV much, but he loves the old movie " Born Free."
5. He loves animal planet.
6. Favorite food is probably nachos, chicken fries, and fruit.
7. Still a sleeper, and will nap anytime, anyplace.
8. He has developed a love for baseball, and practices all day, everyday.
9. He still doesn't like milk or chocolate.
10. He is probably the most well behaved in his class, can't say that at home!

Riggsy has developed into a worldly, inquisitive thinker, type of guy. We also think he is a hoot and we don't know what we would do without him! Love you, Riggsy

2010 Flood

It almost seems like a dream..unreal to see. This is the our baseball field right down the road.

My friend Suzanne's house

This is not how she expected to get a new kitchen!

The kids think it's so much fun, although they don't realize the devastation that this rain is bringing!

our neck of the woods...Old Lebanon Dirt Rd.

and these were taken days after the rain. The water had receded some...

Fun in the Sun Week

We always have a ball dressing up for "Fun in the Sun" week. This year they dressed up for team shirt day, 50's day, silly hair day, patriotic day, and fun in the sun shirt day. I have to get up extra early to get them ready. Glad it's only one week!

How does your garden grow?

We have so much fun gardening, and this year we couldn't wait to get started. The kids love to watch things grow. We planted tomatoes, squash, cucumber, habeneros, jalepenos, banana peppers, and various herbs. We will plant watermelon next week!

Take me out to the ballgame....

Well, baseball season has begun, and Jake is on PW7 and Riggsy is on PW6. On opening day, they were introduced individually and they thought that was a big deal! It's a lot of practice and games so I hope they can play on the same team next year. That will make it a lot easier on me!
